• Variant angina is a spasm in a coronary artery that tightens and narrows the artery wall. Due to this, the blood flow to the heart muscles slows down, and eventually, it stops.
Signs and Symptoms of Angina
The most notable signs of angina are shortness of breath, light-headache, cramping, sweating, fatigue, nausea, indigestion, and weakness.
The main symptoms of angina are sharp chest pain and discomfort, pressure, burning or tightness on the chest. The pain starts just behind the breastbone, but it is difficult to tell exactly where is the pain. It’s said that the pain is on the jaws, shoulders, arms, back or neck.
